What Would Satan Do? Feb 24, 2014 19:57:43 GMT -4

Because Satan is involved in the universe of Plagued, people need to know what he would do and how he would respond in order to stay within Plagued lore. Plots that involve Satan taking action or making a decision should be mentioned here or with me in a PM or Skype. Whatever form of communication is fine, but there has to be a dialogue between us about your plot and the actions of Satan. So, essentially, I am playing Satan! ^_^ Niiiice.
This means all types of characters. Mainly though, people needing to know what Satan would do will be Overminds and Reavers, since he is supposedly highly involved in their creations and deaths. These are some basic examples of how Satan would respond in moderately usual scenarios involving Overmind/Reaver relations. For these VERY basic examples, you do not need to ask me about it cause the answers are here. =D
The creation of a Reaver: A very, very bad or insane person is offered a deal. This usually comes in the forms of dreams or hallucinations (visual and auditory). The Reaver does not have an active dialogue with Satan. It is rather abstract. Words can be said, but it's not like they are sitting down for supper discussing this arrangement. The deal is (usually) made and then their soul belongs to Satan, but they have great power and ability.
The death of a Reaver: If a Reaver has actually been killed, the Reaver is taken to Hell. This is because of the deal mentioned above. Once in Hell, they are tortured throughout eternity. Their souls become a part of hell. Eventually, they become part of the system and they are the ones doing the torturing. A thing to mention about this is that time in Hell moves much slower than that on Earth. A week's time on earth will make it FEEL like 5-7 months when in hell.
The creation of an Overmind: Those born in hell can be born at any time. Satan is actively and sometimes inactively making Overminds. He's a busy man, and earth is just one of the things he's always working on (inner Satan is a gourmet chef in fact). A body is picked. The Overmind does not pick the body. Their sin is picked (remember this is for BORN Overminds, not turned). And they are sent through the flames and to earth. Their birth is usually in the form of waking up. A brief memory of hell can remain. They are already born with the knowledge of understanding language and speaking it. Sentence structure varies and so does word choice. They don't know how to read, but that can easily be learned. Most Overminds have a greater capacity for learning to make up for the lack of experience.
The creation of an Overmind through turning: This is usually case-specific, especially regarding Vampyres, so something like this should be discussed with me to hammer out details. Even if the person was human and they were bitten, it's best to understand how the cases work as individual occurrences. So come to me with your plot idea/character idea (even if you haven't made the character yet).
The death of an Overmind: It *usually* doesn't matter how they die. Once the Overmind is in hell, they are tortured. Again, time is different in hell. Only months can pass on earth before they are sent back, but it would have felt like years. Tortures vary. The sin that the Overmind had will factor into the types of torturing administered. Listed below with pictures (oooo)!:
Pride: Broken along a wheel
Envy: Submerged in freezing water
Gluttony: Being force-fed rats, toads, and snakes.
Lust: Being smothered in fire and brimstone
Greed: Boiled alive in oil
Sloth: Thrown in a snake pit
These are not the only punishments administered in hell. Pretty much anything your tortuous mind can come up with, that's what would happen. The more an Overmind "deserves" punishment, the more they will get it. Deserving refers to their actions while on earth. Were they actively hunting humans and foiling their plans, killing them, making lessers, making slaves, torturing, anything bad you can think of? Or were they really more on the lenient side of doing tasks that affected humans. One would usually assume sloths would be tortured more simply because sometimes they just don't feel like getting out of bed. ^_^ If there are any questions about what would happen to an Overmind while in hell, you need to discuss it with me.
The rebirth of an Overmind: This is definitely done on a case-by-case basis, so it needs to be spoken about with me. If you aren't sure whether or not your Overmind would be sent back, ask me before killing them. Cause if you kill them and Satan *wouldn't* send them back, it puts me in a very difficult situation to try and work something out.
Hopefully this helps people in regards to plotting Overminds and Reavers, and even Vampyres. The lore on Plagued can be complicated and confusing, so just remember staff is always here to answer questions and concerns!
