Momo really wasn't all too fond of the Necropolis. Ever since she had tagged along with Hadrian to that Kakai meeting where the blondes and, surprisingly, a kid showed up, she hadn't had a good feeling about the place. She could remember feeling particularly uneasy about the place back when she was human, and not only because that was there the predators lurked. Momo had always been a fan of all this morbid and grotesque, but the stained glass windows and its decor in general never left her feeling safe or comfortable. That's why she generally tried not to come here, even after she had become a Reaver.
But she came to the Necropolis anyway. Hadrian didn't seem to mind it here so much, and she figured she might as well do a little more exploring. Humans just about never came in here, which was a big contributing factor to the reason she rarely ventured in here. Most of her time was spent hunting humans, not looking for Overminds or Reavers. Momo liked making friends, but she felt as though most of her run-ins with people of her kind lately had been less than fun or satisfactory. There wasn't a whole lot she could do in the way of how other people treated her, though, even though she wished that it didn't seem so overwhelmingly negative. Even when people did treat her well, she felt like there were invariably negative consequences.
She tried not to worry about that now, though. There really was no reason for anyone to come up and try to talk to her. Not right now, anyway. She could hear distant footsteps wandering about other parts of the huge cathedral, probably Overminds looking to meet up. She had found her way to the room where the council had taken place after quite a bit of searching and exploring, sitting down to take a break. Normally Momo was all for conversation and making new friends, but right now she wasn't exactly in the mood. She was a little moody and a little tired, and just thinking about how lonely and bored she had been watching the meeting of the Kakai unfold seemed to put her off.
Momo took a seat, right in the same place at the back she had been sitting before. Council had been awhile ago, and she couldn't really remember who had been sitting where. She knew where Hadrian had been and where Phoenix and Reaver-whose-name-Momo-couldn't-remember had been sitting a few down from her. She reminded herself silently to ask his name the next time she saw him -- Phoenix had told her that the only way to get the things she wanted was to ask first, even if he had been unfair about it. She was very easily finding out that she really did not like him all that much, even if she wasn't really in a position to be picky about her friends, even if those friends did not want to be her friends.
She smoothed out the fabric of the skirt she wore, planting her elbows on her knees and resting her head in her palms. Momo hadn't wanted to just sit around glumly on her own in a long time, not since she had been human. But she hadn't been human since before she met Hadrian, but Momo wasn't even sure she wanted to talk to him right now. It wasn't often that Momo was in an inexplicable bad mood, but for now all she wanted was to be left to wallow in her own self-pity.
