A few hours after the simultaneous take over of Safe Haven, a massive gathering of people could be found in the Memorial Hall. It was a holding ground of sorts for the people gathered throughout the complex. The citizens and soldiers of Safe Haven were barricaded in the hallway, stopped by the mass of armed New Haveners blocking their path on both ends. There are wounded and frightened people huddled together. Uncertainty, fear, and anger lingered in the air as people huddled together. No word had been given. No one knew what was going on or why Safe Haven was suddenly under attack by other humans... people they knew even. There had been no indication as to why they were doing this. No questions had been answered. People had been killed this day and no one knew why.
And now they were herded into this massive hallway like cattle. They waited... waited for something. It was obvious that more had been planned. This wasn't the final step in whatever their goal was. Everyone could only wonder what went wrong. Why hadn't the forces of Safe Haven been able to fight back? How had they been so overwhelmed. And where were the leaders of Safe Haven? Were they dead or hiding? The only thing they could do was wait and pray that death wouldn't be the end result. It was beginning to feel more like a concentration camp and they were all waiting for be executed, but no one could know.
